Today is enough
“Don’t worry about how long you’ll go on doing this. A single afternoon would be enough.”
Yes, it’s overwhelming. You want a better tomorrow. A more fulfilling job, wealth, health, energy, and vitality. You want to apologize, forgive, and strengthen bonds with those you love. But that better tomorrow sits on the other side of courage, consistency, discipline, and hard work. You truly want it, but it is hard work. It’s overwhelming.
“For how long will I have to do this? How long until I see results? … What if I can’t do it? … Am I wasting my time, and should I instead focus my efforts elsewhere?”

It’s easy to get caught up in the details, thinking, overthinking, and rationalizing your why-nots based on how you’ve failed in the past and how you’re certain to fail in the future. Meanwhile, your chances of a better tomorrow pass you by every second because you’re too busy looking backward and forwards.
Right now, you are happening. We’re all happening. Everything is happening. And as now happens, you have a chance; a say in the matter. But soon, you will have happened. We will have happened. Everything will have happened. Before you know it, tomorrow has become now, and now has become yesterday. And gone with it, your chance to choose.
The question here is, why do we overcomplicate things so much when it’s actually really simple? Not easy, but simple. Don’t worry about how things didn’t work out in the past. Don’t worry if things will work out in the future. At this point, all that is beyond you. Concern yourself only with what you can and will do now, for that’s the only thing that’s not yet beyond you. This will suffice. Taking action today, that’s enough.
